How you can use a Canadian business grant for your private practice

Starting a business is hard…and financing a start up is never simple! There are so many unexpected expenses and I know for me digital upgrades, website development, and SEO were some of the most surprising (and overwhelming) costs!

If you are on my email list, I shared last week about this Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP). You can learn more about it here.

This grant is a game changer- I know because I was an eligible applicant and was able to use these funds to really boost my SEO game with the help of Tedi and the team at Searchlight Digital.

This was the approach for me to use these funds as I have an established practice that has been running like a smooth machine for nearly 5 years now.

But what if you are new to private practice?

What if you are not sure the best use of the funds for your business?

Is your website at a place that using the funds for SEO is the best approach?

The process can feel pretty overwhelming and that is why I was so excited to learn that you can use some of the grant funds to have me help you decide what the heck to do!

If you have not heard of this grant before, or maybe you thought, “I probably am not eligible” I really encourage you to check it out.

It is $2,400 for eligible Canadian private practices (any business) that had a revenue of over $30,000, the previous tax year. One important thing to note is that you do not need to have any employees. This was a previous requirement that is no longer needed and many were not eligible for this grant in 2022 because of that stipulation.

If you are approved, you can use this grant to grow your Canadian business online including (but not limited to):

  • Updating your website

  • SEO Audit and on-site optimization

What I learned this week is that you can also use this money to hire a consultant, such as myself to help you make the best plan for your private practice. So what are you waiting for? You can apply for the Canada’s Digital Adoption program here.

If you want to review the FAQs for the grant, click on the link above. You can also always book a 15 min free discovery call with me to learn about my experience with the grant and/or to learn more about how my services can help your private practice business.
