Podcast Ep 5: Leaving Corporate and Becoming a Psychotherapist with Sheema Khan

In this episode, Meagan and Sheema sit down to talk about Sheema's story of leaving behind 20 years of working in corporate business to pursue a new career as a therapist. They discuss the factors that contributed to Sheema's decision and what it meant for her to start over later in life and further into her career, as well as the shift from employee to owner of a private practice, and how to listen and follow that feeling inside that something just isn't right and you're in need of change.

Sheema is a Registered Psychotherapist and owner of Supporting Your Journey, a private practice based in Toronto, Canada. She specializes in working with women experiencing anxiety in the workplace, burnout, people-pleasing and imposter syndrome. Her practice offers in-person and virtual counselling for individuals, couples, and families, and she is also available for workshops and psychoeducation for organizations or groups.
