Podcast Ep 9: The Importance in Policies in Private Practice with Liane Wood

In this episode, Meagan and Liane sit down to discuss Liane’s background in insurance and professional liability and how this has influenced her work in her encore career as a Registered Psychotherapist. They share the struggles that new therapists face when starting a business and the lack of business education available to students. They also chat about how overwhelming the administrative and regulatory side of business can be and how she supports therapists with this.

Liane is a Registered Psychotherapist and founder of Psychotherapy Masterminds. This is an encore career for Liane following over 25 years in the insurance industry, working in professional liability insurance and helping highly regulated professionals develop workflows and processes. She now uses this knowledge to help psychotherapists create workflows, understand documentation, and develop processes to stay onside with regulations and greatly reduce the chances of professional complaints.
